We collect the following types of information: Personal Information: • Name and email address (for account creation) • Profile photo (optional) • Location data (for finding nearby parks and events) Usage Information: • Events created and joined • Sports preferences and skill levels • App interactions and preferences • Device information and identifiers • IP address, log data (such as access times and app version), and crash and diagnostic data • Advertising identifiers (used to serve ads in the free version — see Advertising below)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: • Provide and improve our services • Match you with relevant events and parks • Send notifications about events and friends • Process payments for premium subscriptions • Show advertising in the free version of the App • Communicate important updates • Ensure platform safety and security • Analyze usage patterns to improve the App
3. Information Sharing
We may share your information with: Other Users: • Your display name and profile photo are visible to other users • Your participation in events is visible to event participants • Your player score is publicly displayed Information you share with other users — including chat messages, event details, and anything on your profile — is visible to them. This policy does not govern what other users do with information you share with them, so use good judgment about what you share. Service Providers: • Payment processors for subscription handling • Cloud services for data storage • Analytics providers for app improvement • Advertising partners (Google AdMob) to serve ads in the free version Legal and Safety: • We may preserve and disclose your information if we believe doing so is required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request • We may disclose information to enforce our Terms of Service, protect the rights, property, or safety of Park Break, our users, or the public, or to detect and prevent fraud or abuse Business Transfers: • If Park Break is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction Aggregated Data: • We may de-identify or aggregate information so that it can no longer reasonably identify you, and use or share it freely — for example, statistics about park and event activity We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Location Data
Park Break uses your location to: • Find nearby parks and events • Verify attendance at events for badge awards • Show your approximate location to friends (if enabled) You can control location permissions in your device settings. Some features may be limited without location access.
5. Advertising
The free version of Park Break displays ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information and advertising identifiers as described in Google's Privacy Policy. On iOS, we ask for your permission through App Tracking Transparency before your advertising identifier is used for personalized ads. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your activity in other apps. You can change this choice at any time in your device Settings (Privacy & Security → Tracking). On Android, you can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Ads shown in Park Break are restricted to content ratings suitable for general audiences.
6. Data Storage and Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data: • Encryption of data in transit and at rest • Secure authentication systems • Regular security audits • Access controls and monitoring Your data is stored on secure cloud servers with appropriate safeguards. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices

8. U.S. State Privacy Rights
If you live in California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, or Virginia), you may have additional rights under that law, including the right to: • Know what categories of personal information we collect and why • Access, correct, or delete your personal information • Opt out of the "sale" of personal information or "sharing" for targeted advertising • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights We do not sell your personal information. If the advertising described in Section 5 is considered "sharing" for targeted advertising under your state's law, you can opt out by declining tracking on iOS (App Tracking Transparency) or by limiting ad personalization in your Android device settings, as described in Section 5. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@parkbreak.app. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request, but we may require proof of the agent's authority. Do Not Track: Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common standard for interpreting them, we do not respond to these signals at this time.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data: • While your account is active • As required by law or for legal purposes • For a reasonable period after account deletion to handle disputes You can request deletion of your account and data through the App settings or by contacting us.
10. Children's Privacy
Park Break is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account or that we have collected information from a minor, please contact us at privacy@parkbreak.app and we will delete the account and associated information.
11. Third-Party Services
Park Break relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy: • Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for authentication • Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and backend infrastructure • Apple App Store and Google Play for payments and subscription billing • RevenueCat for subscription management • Google AdMob for advertising in the free version • PostHog for product analytics • Expo for push notification delivery These services have their own privacy policies that govern their data practices.
12. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable laws.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
