ParkBreak parks =============== The list of US parks the ParkBreak app shows: 61349 parks, generated 2026-10-07T00:55:39.572Z. File: parkbreak-parks.geojson (GeoJSON). One Feature per park: its id, a point inside it, its bounding box (bbox, used for check-in), the sports OpenStreetMap maps in it, its city, state, ZIP and address. The app is sent these same fields, and two labels that are the same for every park (source, sportsSource). Sources ------- - Parks, names, locations, outlines and sports: OpenStreetMap (c) OpenStreetMap contributors, https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright The id is the OpenStreetMap element: w = way, r = relation, n = node ("w123" is https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/123); osmIds lists every element a park was merged from. osmKind says what that element is mapped as: "park", "playground", "pitch", or "point" for a park mapped as a node. - City and state: US Census Bureau TIGER/Line cartographic boundaries (public domain); for unincorporated areas, the ZIP's post office name from the Census Bureau's ZIP Code Business Patterns (public domain). - ZIP: US Census Bureau ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (public domain). - Address: addressSource says where the street comes from - "osm-address" is the park's own OpenStreetMap address, whose street line is also given as street; "nearest-road" is the one or two named OpenStreetMap roads running along its outline, not a postal address; null is city, state and ZIP only.
